Friday Mommy Inspirations

Thank God it's Friday! :)

This has been a long week at work again. We reviewed KRAs, performance evaluations, KPIs, etc. in preparation for our strategic planning happening this month.

What kept me sane this week are two things:

First, is my family. My haven. At the end of every toxic work day I come home to a peaceful and loving family. The kids got improved grades for the 3rd quarter and I asked them what they wanted as a reward, they blurted, "Jollibee!" Off to Jollibee we went last Sunday. Gabo wanted to order the regular fries and the crisscut fries, both large. Then he slipped a bill into my  hands and whispered, "for the crisscut fries, mama." Last time, he treated me to a beef topping, too. Isn't he the sweetest? He is not earning yet, but he is already generous with what little he has. The last time also, he told us that he was able to save up P500 from his allowance and would want to make a deposit in his account. God bless this sweet kid!

Second, is music. As the Abba song goes, "Thank your for the music, the songs I'm singing..." I went through the week and survived it with the headphones stuck to my ears. That's me. Every time I'm in a stressful situation, I'd listen to music. So, Monday it was Mozart; Tuesday, Chopin; Wednesday, Vivaldi; Thursday, The Piano Guys, and Friday, my regular date, which is the Friday Madness on Magic 89.9. :D

Yesterday, Thursday, Wizheart spoke in their process management seminar and it was a success. He is really able to reawaken enthusiasm there and is able to make the words/concepts "silo" and "BPM" as the big words in their company. I am happy and proud of him!

Today is Friday and life is all good! Praise God!

Thank God It's Friday! Glad to know great things are happening to you! Indeed, God is good!

Music saves my day too. I try to still listen to my favorite songs despite being a busy mom. Happy friday!

Aw! You're so lucky to have a very generous son. That simply means you're raising him so well. He will be a responsible man for sure.

I pray so, Anne, that he will grow up to be a good man. :) Thanks!

Had our Strat Plan last Nov. We are a young organization and so many KPI's are still to be defined... We are still in the level of defining our performance evaluation too! How is the implemetation... do the staff answer the evaluation forms properly? just asking because we might take so much effort but the implementation might be so difficult!

When our corporation was young, they were still forgiving and I was able to bring my son (in his kinder and early grade school years) to attend Board meetings and many commitee meetings. He even attended our off-campus Masters in Hospital Admin class (forgiving teachers allow him to sit in just to be with parents)! He is now 16 years old. Of course, he can no longer attend our more formal Board meetings. But since my husband and I are in many committees, he can sometimes attend some meetings. Even if he was grade school or high school, many of the admin ideas have already entered his mind! I think even ingrained in him... so when we talk, he also says his piece! I appreciate it a lot because he has widened his own mind even if he is not so academically great1!

You have taught your son well, good job mommy. :-)

I always admire companies that understand how it is to have a family. ;)

So far they are taking the KPIs and performance evaluation seriously. :D The secret there, I think, is to make the instrument clear and easy to accomplish, and that is to make it more objective, putting criteria that are measurable and thus easy to assess. :)

Thanks, Michelle, all moms try to do a good job really. :)

Praise God indeed! :) Nakakatuwa naman anak mo, I hope he stays that way. It's another work week, hope all goes well!

Wonderful! Sending you blessings for a productive and successful week and month. :-)
